Do you feel strong emotions, get easily overwhelmed by crowded or chaotic situations, and often find yourself feeling drained by the end of the day? You may be a highly sensitive person (HSP). One in five people have the genetic trait of sensory processing sensitivity, which helps them to processes sensory information in a deeper way, but can also lead more easily to sensory overstimulation. This is a neutral trait, meaning it has both positive and challenging attributes. Understanding if you're an HSP empowers you to better know yourself and learn how to care for your more highly attuned nervous system in a way that can prevent overwhelm.
As highly sensitive women ourselves, we're passionate about helping other HSPs learn how to thrive in a world that was not built for the highly sensitive! But knowledge is power, and once you understand how your beautiful, sensitive systems work, you can take advantage of the positive attributes of the trait while avoiding the pitfalls.

Kate is a certified birth doula, Reiki master, and Healing Touch practitioner. Having given birth three times as an HSP and now raising three highly sensitive children, Kate is on a mission to help educate other highly sensitive women on how to navigate motherhood without overwhelm.
